{One}
I can't believe I only have two and half weeks left before I go back to school. This summer has gone by way too fast! I have had the best time with Eliza and I'm not ready for it to end! One of my mother-in-law's good friends has been out of town this week and she is letting us use her unbelievable pool while she's gone. Eliza loves the water and we are so grateful to her for sharing her pool with us.

{Two}
Cup of Jo-Motherhood Mondays
Joanna Goddard from Cup of Jo does a series called Motherhood Mondays on her blog and she's recently had mothers from other countries write a guest post on parenting and raising children in  other parts of the world. I have found them so interesting and really enjoyed reading about the differences between raising children in the U.S. and other countries. You can find the posts here and here.

{Three}
Sacred Marriage by Gary Thomas
I've had several people recommend this book to me so I just downloaded it on my Kindle. I'm not that far into it yet, but I will keep y'all posted.

{Four}
Kate Spade Cobble Hill Little Minka Bag
I am obsessed with this bag. Unfortunately it's not exactly in the budget right now. I've been searching on amazon, ebay, and discount sites, but I haven't had much luck. I did find it for a good price on Gilt, but I had to get on a waiting list for it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I win the lottery or find a few hundred dollars on the ground. :)

House Tour-Formal Living Room

Hey y'all! I'm back with another house post. We're slowly but surely getting through the downstairs. This is the first room you see when you walk into our house. Structurally we didn't change anything. We just painted, changed the light fixture, and finished the floors. One of my favorite things about this room is the fireplace. I love having a fire going when it gets really cold outside. I think it just makes this room feel so cozy!

Five on Friday

Hey y'all! I'm back again! I haven't done a post two days in a row in a while! I've been at my parents' house the past few days so I've had some extra time to blog since I've got lots of good babysitters around. I am linking up with Five on Friday to share some of my recent favorites. Hope y'all have a great weekend!

One
Cocobelle Sandals
I normally get myself a pair of Jack Rogers once every year or so because I wear them out so fast, but I got these sandals instead this year because I wanted something a little different. I am loving these and I've definitely gotten my money's worth.

Two
Downton Abbey
I think I'm the last person to jump on the Downton Abbey train, but  I am obsessed. Ryan and I started watching it at the beginning of the summer and we finished all three seasons in less than three weeks. I don't think I can wait until January for it to come back on again. I'm going to have Downton withdrawals!

Three
Pinterest Recipes
I've tried some Pinterest recipes that turned out to be major fails, but recently I've made a few that were actually pretty good. If you're looking for something yummy to make try the Skinny Mom easy enchiladas and/or the salted caramel bars from Confessions of a Baking Queen.

Four
Archipelago Milk Lotion
Someone gave me this lotion as a birthday gift and I love it. It smells great and feels really good. I'm a big fan of all Archipelago products, especially their candles. Their products are pricey, but in my opinion, worth it.
Five
Maxi Dresses
Maxi dresses  are my fave. Breezy and comfortable-enough said!  I love this one from Anthropologie

Lake Waccamaw 4th of July

Since July is already halfway over I thought I better post our pictures from our lake trip over the Fourth of July. We had a great time with our family and it was so relaxing. There isn't a whole lot to do around Lake Waccamaw so all you really can do is relax, which I love. We lucked out with some great weather and we were happy to have a break from the massive amount of rain we'd been we still are getting in Greenville. Sorry for the major picture overload, but we were there for five days and I couldn't narrow down all the pictures.

More swimming, gator hunting, and lake fun with cousins.

On our last night at the lake Ryan and I drove down to Southport to have dinner and drinks. It's about an hour away from the lake house and since niether one of us had ever been we thought we'd take advantage of my parents' offer to babysit. It's such a cute little town and I really want to go back and spend some more time there the next time we're at the lake.

Have y'all seen the movie Safe Haven? It was filmed in Southport and this is the house from the movie. We got here just in time to get a few pictures before it got dark.

Mr. and Mrs. Themed Couples Shower

My brother-in-law and his finance are getting married this weekend and we are so excited about all the festivities. Ryan is heading up to Charlotte on Thursday night and Eliza and I will meet him there on Friday morning. Eliza will have her first flower girl experience and I can't wait to see how she does. I am praying there are no meltdowns on the church isle.

A few weekends ago we hosted a couple's shower at our house for them and I wanted share a few of the details. We had the best time celebrating Will and Mary Laird and we can't wait to continue the celebrating this weekend!
