Peanut Butter Powerballs

Happy Saturday friends! I made these last week when were stuck inside because of the snow. They were so good that I had to hide them from myself because I couldn't stop eating them! They make a great breakfast or afternoon snack.

Ingredients:
 1 cup of oats
1/2 cup of peanut butter
3/4 cup of shredded coconut
1/3 cup of honey
1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips
1/2 cup of Craisins
1/2 of crushed pretzels
1 tsp of vanilla
1 tsp of cinnamon
1 tbsp of chiaseed or flaxseed

Mix together, refrigerate for about an hour, and enjoy!

Eliza loved them!

SnowJam 2014

Happy Hump Day friends! It's 70 degrees and sunny here today, and you would never know that a week ago Greenville was covered with almost a foot of snow. That's a South Carolina winter for ya! The snow was really fun while it lasted, but now I'm ready to jump straight into spring. I'm looking forward to longer days and warmer weather.

We had a whole week off of school and it's been hard to get back into the swing of things this week. It was so nice to be able to have good family time with Ryan and Eliza, and I think we all really need that break to rest and recuperate. We've all been sick and just haven't been able to slow down, and the snow kind of forced us to take a breather. I took a lot pictures during our snow-cation, and I didn't want to go too long without sharing them. Some of these are from my phone and some are from my good camera. There were way too many phone pics to put on Instagram, so I figured  I just share them all here!

DIY Valentines

Long time no talk! I didn't mean to be gone so long (yet again) but I've had so many other things that need my attention right now that the blog has taken a backseat for me. I definitely feel like I've needed to put my time and energy elsewhere, but this blog is a creative outlet for me, and I really enjoy it. I'm glad to be back here and hope to be back again sooner rather than later.

There really isn't much to update you on. January was busy but nothing really exciting other than our normal day to day things. I cannot believe it's already February.  This year is flying by so fast! I spent last week getting Eliza's school Valentine's together, and now it looks like she's not going to be able to give them out on Friday. We are in the middle of one of the biggest snow storms Greenville has ever seen, and I have a sneaking suspicion that school is going to be cancelled for the rest of the week. We'll just have to extend Valentine's into the next week! :) I wanted to share some of my favorite DIY Valentine's that I found while I was trying to decide what to do for Eliza. The links to the printables are above the pictures.

Check out these hilarious Valentines from children. They are highly entertaining!
