House Tour-The Backyard

Helloooo!!! I am so glad that Friday is almost here! I'm looking forward to an extra day off this weekend. It's time for the last stop on our house tour. It's hard to believe we've been in our house for two years now. I feel like we just moved in.

Before I get to the pictures, I will say that these are from about a year ago, and our backyard no longer looks like this. I wish it did, but our dogs have totally destroyed parts of the grass and the mulch is almost gone. I took these pictures right after we planted the shrubs and put the mulch down, and I'm glad I did because that was probably the last time our backyard will ever look that good.

Summer Recap

I can't believe that summer is officially over! Why does it always go by so fast? The last month of summer has been pretty eventful for us. One, because we've been trying to do lots of fun things these last few weeks, and two, because I just had back surgery. I've been dealing with a herniated disc and a pinched nerve for over a year now, and after a lot of prayer, I finally decided that surgery was my best option. I'm so glad that I went ahead with the surgery because I had immediate relief. I still have some pain, but it's manageable compared to what I was dealing with before. I'm still recovering, and can't lift anything for another week, but I pray that I will continue to get better.

Before things get crazy with the start of school this week, I wanted to share some pictures from our summer. I do have a lot of pictures from the 4th of July at the lake that I'll post later, but for now, here some from my phone. I hope you all have a great week and a good luck to those starting back to school!

We started off the summer with my sister's wedding in May.

...and then spent some time at the beach and the lake.

Our cousins came to visit, and we went to one of Eliza's favorite places, the children's museum.

We relaxed....

....and took Eliza to see a play at our children's theater.

We went to the mall, and Eliza got her first manicure.

She also saw her first movie, Planes

Now we're gearing up to go back to reality this week.
