Our Little Elf on the Shelf

Merry Christmas Eve! This little elf is so excited for Santa to visit her tonight. I can't wait to see the joy and excitement on her face when she wakes up tomorrow morning. I hope y'all have the merriest of Christmases with your families!

Christmasy Things

I cannot believe that Christmas is two days away! I spent today getting some last minute shopping done, having lunch with my grandparents, and driving to Columbia to be with my family. Ryan and his mom are coming down tomorrow, and I am so excited to have us all together tomorrow. Our days have been filled with lots of Christmas fun over the past few weeks, and I wanted to share some recent pictures. I hope you all are enjoying this time with your families and friends!

The Third Time Is Not A Charm

Last week we went to the mall to visit Santa, and just like last year, it did not go well. For a brief moment I thought Eliza might actually enjoy seeing Santa. Right before it was her turn to sit on his lap, she was smiling and telling us how she was excited, but the moment it came time for to go up to him, she lost it. It really was kind of sad, and when were finished with the whole fiasco, Ryan looked at me said, "You know we just paid to make our child cry." Point well taken. Notice how her emotions change from sad and scared to just plain mad. Poor thing.

I love looking at these and seeing how much Eliza has changed. Please note that Santa has not changed one bit.

Christmas Tour of Homes

Hey friends! I hope y'all had a wonderful weekend! Today I'm linking up with The Nester for a holiday tour of homes. I just love the way our house feels and smells at Christmastime, and I'm always a little sad at the end of each year when I have to pack everything up. For now, we're really enjoying our holiday decor, and I hope you all do too! Come on in.

Five on Friday-Christmas Edition

I'm back again! It's Friday and I only have one more week of school until I'm out of school for two weeks of freedom! I can't wait! Just wanted to pop in and share a few of my favorite Christmas items. Some of these I have, and some I've just seen on Pinterest and other blogs.

Favorite Christmas Finds
{ONE}
 I love these two rustic Christmas decorations. I think they're so pretty and classic. The tree is from Target and the wreath is from Nordstrom.
{TWO}
I don't own this shirt, but think it's hilarious. Home Alone is one of the all time greatest Christmas movies.
{THREE}
Did any of you see Kelly Clarkson's Christmas special on TV the other night? While I thought it was a little cheesy, the music was great. She has a great voice and I really enjoyed her version of some great Christmas songs.
{FOUR}
I do have this Nest candle, and it's awesome. It makes our entire house smell good!
{FIVE}
I haven't gotten Eliza any Christmas pajamas this year, and not to sound like a Scrooge, but at this point, I probably won't. Although, I did think these Hanna Andersson ones were adorable. I've seen them all over, and they look really cute monogrammed.

Deck the Halls

Hey there! As promised, I'm back with a very Christmasy post. Last year we were overachievers and went to a Christmas tree farm to get our tree. However, aint nobody got time for that this year, so we just went to a parking lot down the road and bought our tree there. It was just as fun and a lot cheaper. Eliza loved decorating our tree and she kept looking at and saying "How pretty!" and "How sparkly!"

Even Belle wanted to get in on the Christmas action. Poor thing.
