It's hard to do before and after pictures of our house because we pretty much gutted the entire first floor, but I'll try to do some before pictures with each post. This is what our current kitchen used to look like. It was a bedroom and bathroom before we made it our kitchen.
And here it is after.
The Details:
- My handy hubby designed and built this kitchen along with some help of the lovely and talented Caroline Shook at CarolineShookInteriors.
- Our cabinets were done by Savage Cabinet Company here in Greenville.
- The knobs and cups on the cabinetry from here and here.
- The paint on the island is Benjamin Moore-Briarwood.
- The butcher block wood on the island is from Ikea.
- Light fixtures above the island are from Shades of Light.
- Our appliances are Electrolux. Some of them we got from Endtime Harvest Thirft Store and what we couldn't find there we got from from Jeff Lynch here in Greenville.
- The barstools are from Bed,Bath, andBeyond and we painted them white.
- The rugs were passed down from my mother-in-law, but I'm pretty sure she found them on Ebay.
- The bamboo shade above the sink is from Overstock.
Hey there! I'm a new blog follower - just started following a few months ago when I came across your blog through a friend of a friend (or something like that) as I live in Greenwood, SC and have a lot of ZTA sorority sisters who are in Greenville now. Anyhoo, when your kitchen popped up on my blog roll I had to check it out as we are in very early stages of buying a lot/building. I'm always checking out new ideas and suggestions! Your house is just darling. Kitchen is a dream!!! My question is, any advice on finding the best price on a farmhouse sink here in the Upstate? Trying to convince the hubs it IS worth it :) ha! Thanks so much!

Hey Sandi! What a small world! We got our kitchen sink from ProSource in Greenville, but try looking around on Ebay and Craigslist. We checked there and found some pretty good options, just not exactly what we were looking for. I had to convince Ryan that it was worth it too, but I absolutely love ours! Good luck with building!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, thanks so much. I will remember to check there and yes in the meantime, I'll continue the convincing! I think he'll give in if I show him a pic of your gorgeous kitchen. Thanks again!
DeleteMay I ask what the exterior house paint colour is?

ReplyDeleteCan you tell m what color stain you used on your exterior cedar shakes????
ReplyDeleteSaw this remodel on Houzz. Everyone seems to be dying to know what the exterior colors on your house are, including me. I know you must be very busy right about now with your family, but hope you find the time to let us all know, as it may take the stress out of choosing an exterior color for some of us. Thanks for sharing.
