Porch Living

If we ever sell our house, one thing I would love to have in our next home is a great porch. Here are a few of my favorite from Pinterest.

Updates

A few people have asked about some posts that I did a while back, and I thought I'd update everyone. Ryan and I are still in our competition to see who can loose ten pounds first. Neither one of us have lost ten pounds yet. How sad, I know. I have about two pounds to go, and he has about six. Once I loose the last two pounds, my weight will be back to what it was before I was pregnant. While the number on the scale may be the same, my body has totally changed. There are some things about my body that I like better, and other things that I don't like quite as much. However, the end result was totally worth it, and I wouldn't change a thing. To be completely honest, I still care about the way I look (even though I know I am being vain),  but my image is not near as important as it used to be to me, and I like it much better that way.

In other news, our house is still on the market. We've had a lot of people looking, but no offers yet. We had an offer on another house that was contingent upon selling our house, but we were released from that offer when our house didn't sell within the agreed upon amount of time. Our house has been shown at least once every weekend for the past three weeks. I get excited every time we have a showing, but I'm disappointed when there are no offers that follow. I have to keep reminding myself that God has a plan for us, and our house will sell when He is ready for us to move.  We currently have our eye on another house in the same neighborhood, but we are trying to be patient while we wait to see what God has planned for us. I will keep y'all posted if anything changes over the next several weeks and months.

Theses pictures have nothing to do with this post, but I hate to do a post without pictures, so here is a random assortment of pictures of Eliza. Sorry for the poor quality, but all of these came from my phone. Lately, I've been really bad about only taking pictures from my phone, and not getting out the "real" camera. I'll have to do better so y'all don't have to look at fuzzy pictures. :)

Daddy Daycare

We have been on the waiting list for daycare at our church since last March, and we still aren't in yet! Can you believe that? The next time I am even thinking about having another a child, (which isn't anytime soon) I will go ahead and get on the list for daycare. Anyway, I digress. Until we are able to get in daycare, Ryan's mom is going to keep Eliza a few days a week, and we have a babysitter coming to our house a couple of days a week.

Our babysitter wasn't able to start until this week, so Ryan and his mom have been working together the past two weeks to watch Eliza while I went back to work. By the way, I am so jealous that Ryan gets to be at home with her and I don't. However, that is beside the point, and I digress again. I came home from school the other day, and this is what I found....

Haha! I wonder what he does with her all day. I can only imagine. They must have so much fun together.

NYE-Better Late Than Never

Hey friends! Sorry for my absence. I went back to work this week and blogging is the last thing I've been thinking about.  It's been a tough week, and I miss Eliza so much while I'm at school. I'm really hoping that things are going to get easier because I feel like a hot mess right now. My posts may be few and far between for the next few weeks while I get adjusted.

In my last post I promised pictures from New Year's Eve, and I haven't forgotten about them! We went to our friends' house for some good food and fun games. Ryan's mom was babysitting Eliza, so we didn't stay too long, but we had a great time. Maybe next New Year's Eve I'll be able to stay up until midnight, but I just couldn't do it this year. I was in bed by the time the ball dropped. How un-festive (is that even a word?), I know!
