Five on Friday-Thanksgiving Edition

Hi there! I didn't mean to take such a long break! It's been a hectic couple of weeks, and unfortunately it hasn't been a good kind of hectic. I won't go into all the details here, but the past few weeks have been rough. I am really looking forward to a nice long break next week. We are hosting Thanksgiving dinner at our house, so for Five on Friday today, I thought I would share some of my favorite Thanksgiving tables, crafts, and ideas. I hope y'all have a relaxing weekend!

Love this table! I don't think I could ever re-create it, but it sure is pretty to look at! Maybe Martha Stewart will come to my house and decorate this year! ;)

What a cute idea for little treats for Eliza's classmates. This is so creative! However, am I the only one that thinks the fingernails holding this sucker are just a little bit too long? Maybe it's just me-I do not like long nails.

We always have tons of leftovers every year, and I love the idea of sending them home in these adorable containers. The free printable are found here.

Like I said earlier, this has been a tough couple of weeks, and although it is really hard, I know that it is just as important to be gracious during difficult times as is to be thankful during happy times. I often hear people say that " God will not give you more than you can handle." While I think people are coming from the right place when they say this, I tend to disagree. I believe that the Lord does give us more than we can handle so we will turn to Him and lean on Him.It's a true test of our faith to be joyful when things don't go the way we planned.

I'll leave you with another one my favorite tablescapes. I love party planning and hosting, but our Thanksgiving table will never be set up like this. We are having around thirty people at our house, so everyone just eats off of paper plates and grabs a seat where they can. It makes cleaning up much easier!

  1. Stopping by from the link up. Your blog is adorable!! I love the pic you posted about giving thanks in all things. I'm working through what that really looks like in my life and how you can truly be thankful for everything...not an easy thing! I hope you are refreshed this week and have a great Thanksgiving!
