Eliza talks all the time and says the funniest things, but she can also throw a tantrum like no other. I'm talking a kicking, screaming, stomping, and kicking the air kind of tantrum. We are working on discipline, but she asks us to go to time out and thinks it's hilarious, so we're trying to find other forms of discipline that are effective for her.
We are in the process of potty training, and Eliza started out doing really well, but she has been backtracking the past week or so. We went straight from diapers to panties, and that worked well for us. It took about three days, and just when I was ready to give up and try again later, she got it. I am glad that we will soon be done with diapers!
Eliza had tubes put in in February, and so far, we've seen a huge improvement in her health. Knock on wood, but no ear infections yet. She sleeps well at night and takes a one to two hour nap in the afternoons. She is still quite attached to her lovie, and we don't leave home without it. She is pretty picky eater, but she is getting better about trying new things. When she doesn't want to eat something, she'll tell us, "It's gots beans in it." I have no idea where she picked this up, but think it's hilarious.
Eliza loves being outside, going to the park, reading, singing, drawing, and playing in her kitchen. She knows her colors and shapes pretty well, and we are working on counting and learning the ABC's. Her favorite movie is The Little Mermaid, and she loves watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Veggie Tales. Currently her favorite books are Olivia and If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. My favorite line from Olivia is "You know, you really wear me out, but I love you anyway," and I tell Eliza that all the time. :)
