Thanksgiving 2012

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Ours was wonderful, and it was so nice to be able to relax and spend time with family and friends.

We had dinner with my Dad's side of the family the night before Thanksgiving, and then we had both of our families to our house for dinner on Thanksgiving night. There were a total of twenty eight people at our house, and I don't know how, but we all miraculously fit. I would be lying to you if I told you that it was the most relaxing part of our break, but it was so fun and I would definitely do it again. I loved having both of our families together and it made me realize how lucky Ryan and I are to have such a great support system. After such a wonderful week, it has been really hard to go back to reality this week.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Turkey Day everyone! I hope you all get to spend this day with people you love! Last night we had dinner at my aunt's house in Laurens to celebrate Thanksgiving with my dad's side of the family, and tonight we are having almost thirty people to our house for dinner. I am really hoping that we can all fit!

Last year for Thanksgiving I wrote a post where I listed a lot of the things I am thankful for, and although I love looking back on that list, I'm not going to write one this year. I feel like I have so much to be thankful for that if I tried to list it all I could write forever, and never be done. This year has been extremely busy and very hectic and stressful at times, but is has also been so wonderful and filled with so many blessings. I feel like one of the major things that the Lord has taught me this year is that I need to live each day with a thankful heart. I am truly blessed!

"Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name." -Hebrews 13:15

My Best Friend's Wedding

This post is long overdue, but I haven't been able to sit down and go through all of the pictures until now. My very best friend since childhood got married at the end of October, and she was absolutely stunning! The whole weekend was so much fun and we had the best time celebrating Bennett and her hubby to be.

We started off the festivities by going to lunch and getting our nails done the day before the wedding, then headed home to get ready for the rehearsal.

After some quick instructions for the wedding at the rehearsal we headed to the rehearsal dinner, which was beautiful and so fun. Bennett was calm, cool, and collected, and you would never know she was getting married the next day!

The bridesmaids luncheon was the day of the wedding. The food was wonderful and Bennett gave the sweetest toast that made us all cry!

We all met at the church a couple of hours before the wedding to get ready. I think I was more nervous about walking down the isle than Bennett. She was the calmest bride I have ever seen. We had a great time  just hanging out and joking around before the wedding.

Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures at the reception. I brought my camera in, but I didn't even take it out of the bag. Thank goodness my sister brought her camera and let me steal a couple of her pictures.

Friday Favorites-Fall Edition

It's been a while since I did a Friday favorites post, so here ya go! Happy Friday friends!

The Return of Pumpkin Spice Creamer
I have already blogged about my love of pumpkin spice creamer before, but it is so good that it's worth mentioning again. This stuff is delicious! I wish they carried all year long! I have already started stocking up on it. I buy three containers every time I go to the grocery store. If you aren't already convinced that I'm crazy, you will be when I tell you this. About a month ago I started to get worried because I couldn't find the pumpkin spice creamer anywhere. so Ryan actually called CoffeeMate to ask them if it was going to be carried in Greenville grocery stores. He was going to get for me as an anniversary present! Alas, I found the creamer, and Ryan didn't have to drive to another city just so he could get me coffee creamer as an anniversary gift.

Patagonia Jacket
Ryan got one of these jackets the other weekend, and I have been eying the female version of it ever since then. I have a Patagonia vest that is very similar to this jacket, and I love it. Ryan said that if I get this jacket I am not allowed to get the same color as him. I think his exact words were "No twinsies!" I guess I can't blame him. He actually is a twin, so I understand why he doesn't want to dress the same as his wife.

Old Navy Colored Skinny Jeans
I have a couple of pairs of these jeans and I love, love, love them! They fit great and they are really comfortable.  They are also reasonably priced, which is a plus.

Herschel Bag
I saw this bag on another blog and fell in love with it. This would be the perfect bag for me to take to school. I had a great school bag but when the holes on the side of it started getting larger and lager, I figured it was time for a new one. Right now I'm using one that I already had, and it works, but it's not the best size.
